Ivo

Ivo has been my friend for many years. We met at a fitness event. Sports have been a big part of our friendship.

Throughout the last few months, I had to refuse a couple of times his requests to hire me as his trainer. I wanted to keep our relationship pure and full of memes as it has always been. 😆

Eventually, I agreed to be his online trainer. Good thing that I did.

Ivo has been an amazing and very dedicated trainee (and we also managed to keep our friendship and meme flow intact! :D)

His case is very special. Let me tell you why:

👉Ivo has been a gym rat for the past 10 years on and off. Three years ago he had 12% body fat (for those unfamiliar with these numbers- this is an extremely low percentage and close to a bodybuilding competition form). How did he achieve that back then? By working out 3 times PER DAY like a madman. He often ran twice per day, going to CrossFit training, squash, fitness, consuming very low amounts of carbohydrates, and overall his whole life was revolving around keeping his body fat low.

Needless to say, he was a little obsessed with it.

This was three years ago. When we started working together this year, our starting position was a little different - Ivo is now a very busy lawyer, who usually works until the small hours of the night. Therefore sports, nutrition, or taking care of himself often were completely out of the picture. This is where he needed my help.

 😐When we started training online, he replied to the question "What are your fitness goals?" with "I just want to bring my desire back". To the question "How motivated are you to reach this goal from 1 to 10?" he replayed with "7.5."

😐Initially, our only goals were to improve his sleep as much as we can, and to maintain a caloric deficit so small that is barely noticeable. Our end-game goal was to get him into the lean body that he used to have.

✔ I didn't want him to feel hunger during any part of the day
✔I didn't want his nutrition to burden him mentally even more than what he already had on his plate
✔I really wanted his eating schedule to be very easy to follow - even if this means reaching his goals very slowly

Little did we know, Ivo reached back his lean body from three years ago in only three months and this time without obsessing over it:
👉It was during quarantine, so we was working from home, so his daily routine was more sedentary than usual;
👉He was doing 2-3 resistance workouts with bands per week, at home;
👉He was running 2-3km couple of times per week, because he likes running, not because he had to;
👉His diet was not restrictive and he did not feel hunger throughout the day;
👉We focused on fixing his sleep pattern, where he could actually get enough sleep;
👉He even started implementing fruits and vegetables in most of his meals which was a huge personal achievement for him!!!

Ivo managed to lose 11.5 kg in three months, and his body measurements went down everywhere. He lost only 3 cm from his chest, and gained 1 cm on his biceps, which means that he even managed to gain muscle while losing fat!

TLDR: Ivo - very busy person - no time for sleep - in quarantine - motivated 7.5 out of 10 - working out at home only - managed to lose almost 12 kg in 3 months. If this is not inspiring, I don't know what is!

If you also have 2-5-10-50kg to lose, cliché or not, don't wait for this mythical creature "The Perfect Moment" to come. Contact me and let me help you find the right way. 💪
